One fixed price for the whole ski week: we meet you at Almaty airport with your ski bags, then for five ski days a private car with an English-speaking driver takes you from your hotel to Shymbulak (Medeu gondola), Oi-Qaragai or Ak-Bulak in the morning and back after the last run. Mix the resorts as the snow and the weather decide. $520 per car in a sedan, $650 in a minivan for six with skis, $820 in a Land Cruiser and $1,050 in a Sprinter.

What exactly is included?
- Airport meet: your driver tracks the flight and waits in ALA arrivals with a name sign; ski bags travel in the car (minivan or larger for more than two ski bags).
- Five ski days: each day a morning run from your Almaty hotel to the resort and a return in the afternoon at the time you set the evening before. The car does not need to be the same class every day, but the price is per class.
- Resort choice each day: Shymbulak via the Medeu gondola (about 45 minutes from the city), Oi-Qaragai (≈1 h) or Ak-Bulak (≈1 h 15 min).
Flying home? Add the departure run at the normal airport price, from $40.
Why a car instead of taxis every day?
Ski days start early and end when the lifts close, which is exactly when apps surge and drivers refuse ski bags. A week of separate transfers at our day prices would cost noticeably more, and you would rebook every evening. With the ski week the driver knows your hotel, your gear and your plan, and moves you to Oi-Qaragai on the day Shymbulak is windy.
For six skiers in a minivan the week works out at about $108 per person.
Shymbulak road rules in 2026/27
Private petrol and diesel cars are restricted above Medeu this season, so the standard route to Shymbulak is the Medeu gondola: we drop you at the lower station and pick you up there. Oi-Qaragai and Ak-Bulak are reached by car to the base. We confirm the rules before your first ski day.

How much is a car and driver for an Almaty ski week?

Can we change resorts during the week?
Yes, every day. Tell the driver the evening before whether it is Shymbulak, Oi-Qaragai or Ak-Bulak and what time you want to leave.
Does the driver wait at the resort all day?
No, he drops you in the morning and comes back at the agreed time, so the price stays fixed. If you want the car to wait all day, ask us for a quote.
What if a day is cancelled because of weather?
Unused ski days can move to another day within your stay. If the whole week is cancelled more than 24 hours before the airport meet, the refund is in full.
